etrichor Records is an independent record label specializing in contemporary classical music by living musicians. Petrichor Records is committed to giving release and performance opportunities to the new works by living composers worldwide and promoting young musicians with educational and performance opportunities. Petrichor Records Project's mission has the following stages:
1- Finding new voices in the field of contemporary music and dedicating the required time and effort to the emerging artists to realize their artistic projects.
2- Working closely with the established artists of contemporary music from different countries to propose new projects in the form of concerts, albums, sound installations, conceptual performances, etc.
3- Creating opportunities for today's musicians by planning competitions and pedagogical events collaborating with world-renowned artists.
Petrichor is the scent of rain on dry earth, or the scent of dust after rain. The word is constructed from Greek, petros, meaning 'stone' + ichor, the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology. It is defined as "the distinctive scent which accompanies the first rain after a long warm dry spell.
